Forever black people an other people of color have been at the forefront of pushing forward the culture. From the new genres of music that grace our ears to the style in which we dress and all the little things in between that just make us, us. Harlem and The Bronx throughout our history have been havens for growth of black art and culture. From the Harlem renaissance to the creation of hip hop. Today in New York City creative directors Sydney Troi and Raevan Aliyah have found themselves only being able to network, collaborate and meet other creatives in Brooklyn and Downtown Manhattan. It’s not that the creatives are not here as we have met tons of others just like us. And we all talk and dream of a space where we could create, collaborate, celebrate, network with each other that isn’t an hour train ride away.
1996 Bleu Tirage has opened up a space for creatives to incubate their new ideas. We seek to give a stage and platform for artists to create, collaborate, celebrate and network. We also seek to produce and distribute our own content while simultaneously helping small brands break into the digital scene, and helping large brands diversify their teams and their work. Representation empowers people and its not enough anymore to have one person of color on your team or in your project. It is our responsibility to allow all marginalized groups opportunities to be seen and heard.
