Our Vision
1 Déchet Par Jour / 1 Piece Of Rubbish is an association, where we believe that every small action counts when it comes to protecting our health and that of biodiversity—on land and at sea. In the face of the environmental emergency, we refuse to be spectators. Instead, we choose to take action to prevent and reduce waste and plastic pollution. We aim to build a future where Earth and Sea can still breathe, where nature and humanity are preserved and respected.
Our Mission
From our hills around Marseille to our ocean floor, from schools to businesses, our mission is to act to prevent waste production and raise awareness about its reduction— wherever nature needs us. For nearly 10 years, we’ve been reinventing the fight against waste and plastic pollution to reduce their impact on human health and biodiversity, through an engaging and collective approach.
- Education and awareness on sustainable development and environmental issues for young people (ages 3 to 20), businesses, residents of Priority Urban Neighborhoods (QPV), and the general public, to spark and support long-term changes in consumption behavior.
- Citizen mobilization: our waste collection and litter characterization events bring citizens together every month, creating a strong and friendly collective momentum.
- Engaging communication: we share impactful messages and visual campaigns to raise awareness and inspire action.
- Strong local presence: thanks to a solid network of partners — associations, local authorities, businesses, and institutions — we act efficiently and sustainably on the ground.
