In response to the emergence of e-commerce, Yapster e-Trade, Inc. (website address: 2tradeAsia.com) was incorporated 18 May 1999, & was granted pioneer incentive by the Board of Investments (BoI) as first in the Philippines to integrate both front & back-office facilities in trading shares listed at the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE). 2TradeAsia is the licensed online arm of F. Yap Securities, Inc. (FYSI).
In 2002, 2tradeAsia pioneered & was awarded by Sun Life Asset Management of Canada’s (SLAMC) Prosperity League of Excellence, having achieved more than P800mn in investment to Sun Life’s Mutual Fund.
The company remains a solid partner of Sun Life to date, for investors that seek alternative placement of their assets. The same opened avenues for tie-up with other fund managers, such as AIG Fund.
In 2008, 2TradeAsia was given recognition by the Exchange, for its active role in investor education through the conduct market education seminars, road shows, industry briefings & special events, among others.
