Abbeyfield England is the national membership body for the Abbeyfield movement - a network of community-led housing and care providers for older people across England, all governed by volunteer trustees.
We represent and support independent Abbeyfield societies that deliver supported housing and residential care rooted in local communities. Our purpose is to strengthen their governance, sustainability, and national voice and to champion a model of later-life living that is personal, place-based, and people-powered.
In a changing care and housing landscape, Abbeyfield offers something different: small, relational homes that value independence and companionship, led not by profit, but by principle. We work across sectors to raise awareness, influence policy, and build partnerships that ensure this model is both understood and sustained.
