About ABC² (Accelerate Brain Cancer Cure)
In our 18th year, the Board of Directors and founders of ABC² have come to believe that it is time for us to wind down the foundation and pass the torch to a new generation of leaders.
We are proud of what we’ve all accomplished together, and we are confident that the community we have helped build, and the seeds of the research we’ve planted, will bring us to a cure.
ABC² focused on speeding the discovery of a cure for brain cancer. By applying an aggressive, venture funding approach not typically seen in the nonprofit sector, ABC² aimed to close the gaps in funding in order to catalyze research and rapidly bring new therapies to patients. ABC² helped drive 30 therapies in the clinic for brain cancer patients. It awarded more than 100 grants totaling $21 million in brain tumor research funding to highly qualified investigators and physician-scientists from 54 institutions and companies.
