Action for Development (ACFODE) is a national women's rights organisation formed on November 19, 1985. It was inspired by the United Nations Third World conference held in Nairobi in July 1985.
We are an effective platform for debate and action on issues related to women's empowerment in Uganda, through consolidated advocacy for policy formation, research, capacity building, coalition building, mobilisation, and sensitisation.
