We deliver physical activity, community sport and health and wellbeing classes programmes and encourage and support everyone regardless of age or ability. Our youngest member is two months and our oldest is 91! We believe that increasing emphasis should be placed on preventing ill health and not solely treating illness. We are committed to a community led approach where we engage, support and enable local communities to take action to improve their health and well being. We encourage and support everyone regardless of age or ability. The organisation delivers a wide range of programmes and services that provide opportunities for the whole community to become healthier and more active in a safe and enjoyable environment. We provide a range of programmes aimed at: Increasing physical activity - weekly sessions take place at venues throughout Renfrewshire with over 500 people participating. We offer a range of classes including: walking, jogging, buggy buddies, Girls On The Run, Active Families and physical activity for older adults, Improving social and emotional health & well being, promoting citizenship through offering personal development sessions, health issues in the community and British Heart Foundation Healthy Heart training as part of our classes or stand alone sessions, Recruitment, training & supporting local people through our education and training programme for volunteers & staff, enabling local people to become 'active community' champions for their area, Improving community consultation through a range of fun and innovative events including family fun days, development days for volunteers/staff & team building events, Harnessing the energy and commitment of partner agencies to work with us.
