Adaptive AgroTech is an International Consultancy Network focused on the digitalization of agriculture. The group was initially formed in 2008 at the University of Florida by Redmond R. Shamshiri to provide linkage and networking in the areas of greenhouse automation and control. Since then, members of AdaptiveAgroTech have been involved in various applied control and dynamic projects including precision agriculture of citrus and oil palms, variable rate technology, robotics harvesting, advanced techniques for early disease detection, application of unmanned aerial systems in agriculture, remote sensing, GIS, farm machinery management, and improvement of controlled environment plant production systems. AdaptiveAgroTech has attracted over 3500 academician followers with more than 2000 visitors/week. As of January 2018, Dr. Shiva Gorjian, an assistant professor of Biosystem Engineering at Tarbiat Moddaress Univ is co-directing the network.
