ADELA seeks to inspire and empower McGill Law students in environmental careers.
Our mission has 3 stages.
First, we connect. ADELA takes networking to the next level, to inspire our members to use their law degrees to solve climate change. Our events ask professionals how to solve an aspect of the climate crisis, and our networking event revolves around coming to an answer.
Second, we act. Networking events and conferences are inspiring. But we need action. Our project team pioneers climate solution projects at a municipal, provincial, or federal scale. We are currently in the research stage. Our Climate Solution Team launches Fall 2023.
Third, we advise. Relationships made within ADELA do not end after you graduate. Members of our Alumni network assist each other with professional questions based on expertise, throughout their entire environmental law career - our alumni also mentor future ADELA members.
