The Advanced Center for Sleep Disorders (ACSD) established in 1997 offers state-of-the-art sleep diagnostic testing in a place that feels like home, and treatment to help you get the restful, healthy sleep you need. Good sleep is as necessary to life as good nutrition and exercise.
We were quick to embrace promising technologies, including the VPAP (Variable Positive Airway Pressure) and adapt SV machine, which provides a variable amount of air depending on what the patient actually needs, and actigraphy, a diagnostic method in which the patient wears a small non-invasive device on the wrist. Creating a greater understanding of sleep disorders and healthy sleep is a mission for us. In 2008, we helped one of his patients organize Chattanooga’s first chapter of AWAKE (which stands for Alert, Well, And Keeping Energetic), a support group for people with apnea and other sleep disorders.
