The name Aegleio is a derived from “Aegle” and I-O. Aegle is the Greek goddess of radiant good health as well as the golden apple fruit of “Aegle marmelos” (golden apple or Bel) used in traditional medicine in South Asia. IO is representative of the digital age. Aegleio represents the equilibrium that needs to be achieved between traditional intuitive medicine and modern digital health for optimal healthcare. We believe that even complex problems may have simple solutions. Our aim is to build a platform, products and services that will deliver these solutions bearing in mind the principles of robust evidence based medicine and incorporating new digital technology. We understand that humans are diverse in terms of physiology, understanding, access to care and geographical location; so empathy and practicality are paramount in empowering and liberating people to understand and participate in their own health journey. With the enormous amount of information and solutions available, our aim is to distill, curate, develop and deliver solutions which are personalised and in line with government policies, legal frameworks and highest standards of ethics. Though healthcare takes centre stage within human issues, the problems are not limited to it. As conscientious citizens of the world, we aspire to engage in projects and issues that makes life more meaningful and fruitful.
