Die Wurzeln des Unternehmens reichen mit der Gründung der Vitronics Soltec GmbH zurück in das Jahr 1998.
Über ein Management Buy-out im Jahre 2010 wurde in AF industries GmbH umfirmiert und der Standort samt Belegschaft wurde beibehalten.
Seitdem wurde das Produktportfolio konsequent und nachhaltig ausgebaut. Die klassische Produktpalette aus Wellen-, Selektiv- und Reflowlötanlagen wurde beibehalten und später um MEK-AOI Systeme, Boardhandling und Flussmittel von Emil Otto erweitert.
