Affirm LLP, Chartered Professional Accountants is a firm run by a dynamic team of women based in Calgary, Alberta. The firm is owned and operated by two ambitious entrepreneurs - Kristen Poitevien and Natasha Monk. Affirm specializes in small/medium sized business tax and financial statement preparation and prides itself on being incredibly professional and approachable, and will act as your trusted advisor and partner in any significant decisions you might consider for your business. They ask the tough questions to ensure your year-end financial statements are reliable and thorough.
Partners Kristen Poitevien and Natasha Monk proudly founded Affirm in 2018 after both successfully running individual firms on their own. Both women saw an opportunity for partnership and collaboration which would serve each and every client in the highest capacity. They provide expertise in financial statement preparation, bookkeeping, corporate and personal taxation, assurance (due diligence and financial statement reviews), compliance, and strategic advisory services for their clients.
Kristen completed her Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree at the University of Saskatchewan, after which she pursued her Chartered Accountant designation at KPMG. She then went on to further her tax knowledge through CPA's In Depth Tax program. Natasha completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree at the University of Calgary, subsequently obtaining her Chartered Accountant designation at KPMG as well. Natasha pursued the In Depth Tax program and is now actively working towards her certification as a Trusts and Estates Practitioner.
