The African World Heritage Fund (AWHF) is a Category II Centre under the auspices of UNESCO. AWHF works with a mandate from the African States Parties to the UNESCO World Heritage Convention and the African Union and implements programmes on the whole African Continent. Based in Midrand, South Africa, the AWHF strives towards the effective conservation and protection of Africa's natural and cultural heritage.
