As an Afro-Latinx organization, we will spread information about our rich Afro-Latinx cultures. We will strive to teach those interested in learning to embrace their culture and spread awareness about our community to give Afro-Latinx people a sense of identity. ALSA seeks to not only serve as a safe space for Afro-Latinx students, but for all students Members may identify as Afro Latinx but we also invite everyone and anyone of any race, religion, ethnicity, and sexual orientation. Our mission is to enhance awareness of Afro- Latinx issues and heritage in the
Temple University community. We strive to provide a forum for discussion and to advocate for issues that have a direct impact on the Afro- Latinx student body. ALSA strives to provide support and resources to the Afro Latinx/Latino campus community, to sponsor activities and events that ensure ALSA`s purpose, and to collaborate with other organizations within and outside of Temple University.
