AFS Intercultural Programs is an international, voluntary, non-governmental, non-profit organisation that provides intercultural learning opportunities to help people develop the knowledge, skills and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world.
In New Zealand, we have been providing student exchanges since 1947. Over 10,000 participants have been immersed in the culture of one of our 50+ partner countries, on programmes ranging from a few weeks to one year.
AFS New Zealand also works with volunteers across New Zealand to host exchange students from our partner countries.
