AHCOF was established in 1976,and was a provincial branch foreign trade company of COFCO named Anhui Branch of COFCO at that time. In 1989, the provincial branch of COFCO was derived from COFCO and became a local company that was renamed ANHUI CEREALS OILS& FOODSTUFFS I/E (GROUP) CORP.(briefed as “AHCOF Group”).
In 2010,approved by State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of Anhui Province, AHCOF carried out the mixed ownership reformation, introduced strategic investors, attracted employees to buy its shares and incorporated a state-owned holding enterprise—AHCOF HOLDINGS CO., LTD (briefed as “AHCOF HOLDINGS”)– which took over its main businesses such as international trade, real estate, construction engineering and financial investment. After reformation, AHCOF achieved marvelous development. In 2015, AHCOF Group achieved an annual sales income of 16.69 billion CNY, a total asset of 26.82 billion CNY, a total import and export amount of 1.29 billion USD and the total profit was more than twice that before reformation. In 2016, AHCOF HOLDINGS ranked 21st in the list of top-100 enterprises of Anhui and 197th in the list of top-500 enterprises in service business of China.
