Department of Artificial Intelligence, IIT Kharagpur Overview

The Department of Artificial Intelligence (DoAI) is established by the efforts of all the affiliates of the Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence in 2024. The Department of Artificial Intelligence is an educational and research hub of AI and ML innovations at IIT Kharagpur and offers BTech, MTech, IDDP and PhD in AI. We are hiring for faculty positions, visiting faculty positions and post-doctoral positions. Candidates with strong background in fundamentals and capable of writing impactful grants envisioning the future of AI may contact the head for more details about opportunities. Industry partners can work with us by directly contacting faculty members. They can also approach us through SRIC, IIT Kgp or AI4ICPS. Students can get admission only through the admission portal of IIT Kharagpur. The admission of PhD students requires a written test followed by an interview.
