Airborne-Turbine was developed during the Ideation Program at RWTH Innovation in 2023 and is currently a member of Collective Incubator, solarLAGO, and Startup Netzwerk Bodensee.
The startup is developing an innovative Airborne Wind Energy System (AWES) that harnesses wind power at higher altitudes to enable more efficient and sustainable energy generation.By combining a kite and a rotor with a ground-based generator, the system offers a space-saving and resource-efficient alternative to conventional wind turbines. This technology enables decentralized energy supply, particularly for households and small businesses, even in locations with low ground-level wind speeds.
With a focus on easy installation and high efficiency, Airborne-Turbine contributes to the energy transition and the reduction of CO₂ emissions.
