The AI, Security & Defense Forum (AISD 🤖 ⋂ 🛡️) is an experimental platform for exploring the intersection of AI research and Security & Defense challenges. We consider Security & Defense in the 21st century to be an increasingly complex, multi-dimensional challenge--characterized by the blurring and permutation of front lines beyond traditional zones of conflict into diverse socioeconomic and geopolitical spheres. This new paradigm necessitates a new level of collaboration across Science, Technology, and Public Policy. Toward this goal, we are piloting a setting with invited guest presentations and reading discussions as a foundation for AIML practitioners and Security & Defense experts to learn from each other. Through periodic presentations of projects chosen across spectrums, we aim to accelerate the convergence of methodologies, enabling more collaborative responses to diverse security challenges in the coming decade.
