Our passion is to enable developers all around the world to create applications anywhere, anytime and from any device. Together with the ever growing community we use Cloud9 IDE to rapidly develop new features for Cloud9 itself, enabling new ways to collaborate, share and develop applications. Started in 2005 the founders believed that the browser would be the way applications are delivered into the lives of users. Fast forward to 2010, this has already happened. The revolution of web technologies and the speed of the browsers allow for more and more applications to be web-based. Our growing team consists of 15 people, including some of the best developers Europe has to offer. We’re located in the historic centre of Amsterdam and have a distributed team in 5 countries. In the past we have built up our experience doing projects for companies such as eBuddy, Eli Lilly and Vonage. Over the years we’ve created an HTML5 based UI framework that can compete with the traditional desktop UI’s as well as those of the new mobile devices. As a team we’ve used many different tools for development. The irony of using a desktop application to develop web applications did not elude us. This is why we have created Cloud9 IDE; an online environment for development of javascript and HTML5 applications. With a focus on usability, speed and collaboration it improves the way developers create applications.
