The association "Arbeitskreis Lasertechnik e.V." was founded in 1990 to foster the networking beween scientific and industrial users of the fast changing and disruptive laser technology.
The ongoing and continuous development of new laser beam sources and laser processes is leading to innovative applications especially in industrial production and manufacturing. In this rapidly changing discipline, the network AKL e.V. effectively supports innovation processes.
For this reason the association Arbeitskreis Lasertechnik e.V. awards every 2 years the "Innovation Award Laser Technology" in cooperation with the European Laser Institute ELI, as this award has a truely European character.
