The origin of Al Hilal Group dates back to mid-seventies. The family proprietary business was converted to its present form of a corporate entity in 2002. The chief architect of Al Hilal Group late Sheikh Ibrahim Al Hinai had the keen foresight to envisage the rapid economic development of Oman and the business opportunities that would emerge in the process. The company has over 300 employees. It is an accredited organization with ISO 9001-2015, which is an indicator to its quality standards and systems that have been fine-tuned to perfection over the years. Al Hilal group comprises of several factories spread in various governorates and wilayats (Provinces) of the Sultanate of Oman, in Muscat and Nizwa, Sohar, Salalah, and Buraimi. The group offers numerous products that serve the construction sector. Products such as GRP and polythene water tanks , other products from fiberglass or plastic and various products such as fiberglass doors and kiosks for transformers substations and electrical equipment, bathrooms and pools from a high quality acrylic, as well as plastic pipes of different materials, types and sizes. The group adopts the Sultanate strategies and policies of industrial development. It offers the opportunity for the Omani workforce to participate actively in the industrial activities. Hence increasing percentage of Omanisation, preserve high level of quality in production and seek to increase the export ratio of production to achieve the goals of the country in the development of exports. In addition, the group supports industrial policies in development plans and future vision of the Omani economy. Therefore, the Government has appreciated its efforts and awarded one of its companies, which is Al Hilal plastic, His Majesty cup for the best five factories in 2013. Also, the Group factories won trophy of excellence of the Ministry of commerce and Industry in the same competition for the years 2012 and 2013 respectively.
