Die Alberto Giacometti-Stiftung verfügt über die bedeutendste museale Sammlung von Werken des Schweizer Plastikers, Malers und Zeichners Alberto Giacometti (1901–1966). Der Bestand ist inzwischen auf rund 800 Objekte angewachsen, davon sind 135 Werke ausgestellt. Er umfasst das Lebenswerk Alberto Giacomettis von seinen frühesten bis zu den letzten Werken in allen wesentlichen Aspekten und zahlreichen, überraschenden Facetten. Die Sammlung der Alberto Giacometti-Stiftung wird zum grossen Teil im Kunsthaus Zürich aufbewahrt und laufend in repräsentativen Auswahlen ausgestellt. Ein Viertel des ursprünglichen Bestandes befindet sich im Kunstmuseum Basel, ein Zehntel im Kunst Museum Winterthur.

The Alberto Giacometti-Stiftung has the world’s leading museum collection of works by the Swiss sculptor, painter and graphic artist Alberto Giacometti (1901–1966). The Foundation’s collection has now grown to around 800 objects, 135 of which are on display. It encompasses Alberto Giacometti's life's work from his earliest to his last works in all its essential aspects and numerous, surprising facets.Most of the Foundation’s collection is kept in the Kunsthaus Zürich, where representative selections are exhibited on an ongoing basis. A quarter of the original collection is housed in the Kunstmuseum Basel, another tenth, in the Kunst Museum Winterthur.
