Aldebaran is a major player in interaction robotics, and the manufacturer of the iconic NAO and Pepper robots. Aldebaran designs, develops and manufactures robots with passion! Since its creation in 2005, it has become the market leader in humanoid robots. More than 40,000 social and interaction robots are in use in around 70 countries, in a variety of sectors ranging from retail and tourism to healthcare and education. Aldebaran aims to lead the way and unify the human robot experience, and create cohesion between social and industrial robots. In 2022 Aldebaran launched Plato, the next-generation service robot, designed around CobiotX technologies and a patented safety system. With Plato, repetitive, heavy, lifting and transport tasks are automated, improving the health and well-being of staff in the hotel/restaurant industry and other sectors (healthcare, etc).
