Alumot Or (Rays of Light) is an Israeli philanthropic social organization that promotes and implements excellence programs in special education schools by developing and implementing innovative programs and projects. Our goal is to leverage, maximize and expand educational excellence within the school and beyond – in the present, and for the benefit of the children in the future. אלומות אור הינו ארגון חברתי, המקדם ומטמיע תוכניות מצוינות בבתי ספר לחינוך מיוחד באמצעות פיתוח ויישום תכניות ופרויקטים חדשניים. מטרתנו: למנף, למקסם ולהרחיב את המצוינות החינוכית בתוך בית הספר ומחוצה לו - בהווה, וגם עבור הילדים בעתיד. ארגון אלומות אור פועל עם אוכלוסיות המוגדרות חינוך מיוחד: תלמידים עם מוגבלות, נוער בסיכון ואוכלוסיות מוחלשות. אלומות אור פועל לפתח באופן מלא את היכולות הגלומות בבני האדם בכלל ובתלמידי החינוך המיוחד בפרט, את תחושת הכבוד הפנימי והערך העצמי, וכן חיזוק הכבוד לזכויות האדם, לחירויות היסוד ולמגוון האנושי. לשם כך פועלת העמותה לאפשר חינוך איכותי, ראוי ומכיל, בקהילות המגורים של התלמידים ובשוויון עם אחרים.
