Amond World is a development State-of-the-Art 2 million sq ft Premium Refrigerated Cold Storage Center in Central Valley, CA to support the FDA’s Food Safety Modernization Act to improve food safety of agricultural products. A report released Tuesday by the Almond Board of California says the industry contributes about $11 billion a year to the California state’s gross domestic product. The figure includes production of the crop itself and the processing and marketing of the nuts. The study, by the Agricultural Issues Center at UC Davis, says almond-related activities generate 104,000 jobs statewide.
