In 2008, I initiated the Ancient Athens 3D project as a personal endeavor with the aim of presenting the architectural heritage and history of the city of Athens, spanning from the Mycenaean period (1600 BC) to the Early Modern period (AD 1833) through 3D reconstructions. This project is continually informed and refined by using Greek and international scientific publications, remaining an ongoing project to this day.
Over the years, the educational resources (image renderings, video animations etc) developed through Ancient Athens 3D have evolved into a primary reference for historical digital reconstruction, facilitating the exploration of the history and topography of Ancient Athens. These resources have found extensive utility in diverse settings, including museums, universities, schools, scientific publications, books, conferences, magazines, television, and documentaries, underscoring the project's enduring impact and significance.
