Mat, the philosopher, and Michal, the lawyer by trade, came together in a delightful twist of fate to play an entirely different game: directing. First and foremost, this dynamic duo are lifelong buddies of two decades. An old, tight-knit couple who know each other inside out. Their friendship started right on the sidewalk in the scorching heat of Barcelona, where they were sipping San Miguel during their first road trip 18 years ago. They’d compete like two dogs to have the coolest gigs and the most interesting stories to share. It wasn’t until they teamed up that they grasped their potential as a seriously bold directing duo. Independent and fearless, even in unfamiliar territories. And they are still on the road but smarter.
They’re really in tune with the visual world. Always hungry, attentive, and on the hunt. And they usually bolt when they sense a certain method becoming a trend. That’s why they love simple and impactful expression techniques where form always follows message.
At first glance their works might appear aesthetically driven. It certainly ticks that box, but below the surface they are just heavily coded i na way that you don’t see very often. It's likely the skill of unveiling that subtle, often unseen essence known as the soul. And yes - they love humans. And that’s all folks!
