AVDH Coaching & Consulting was founded and is led by Andreas von der Heydt. Andreas is a certified coach and master coach. He was co-founder at Amazon Germany´s in-house Coaching Program and a founding member of L´Oréal's Mentoring Program in Germany. Over the past 20 years, Andreas has coached hundreds of executives, leaders, start-up entrepreneurs, and young managers. Both as internal & external coach. His latest book, which has been released in December 2021, is about how organizations can create a Coaching Culture.
Based on his profound coaching education over two decades with some of the world’s leading coaches, paired with his own real-life business and people management experience as well as academic research, Andreas has developed his distinct and highly effective coaching approach. It entails, among other aspects, elements, and techniques of the following main coaching schools of thought: Systemic Coaching, Stakeholder Centered Coaching, Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) Coaching, Provocative Coaching, and Active Inquiry Coaching.
Andreas’ background is in general management, HR, sales & marketing, product as well as learning & development. In the US, Europe, and Australasia. He held executive positions at Chewy, Amazon, and L´Oréal. He started his career with REWE, a leading European retailing group. As a passionate leadership expert, Andreas possesses comprehensive international working experience in E-Commerce, Technology, Consumer Goods, Retail, and Services.
Andreas studied business management and economics at Ludwigshafen Business School (Germany), in Salamanca (Spain), and in Nagoya (Japan). As a life-long learner he did an MBA at Henley Management School in the UK and a Doctor of Education (Ed.D) at Northeastern University in Boston, USA. His specialization is on organizational leadership and learning to help building high-performing organizations and fulfilled teams. He's a native German who speaks English, French, Spanish, and some Japanese.
