Animate Palestine: is an initiative in cinema based in Ramallah-Palestine, specialized in the Palestinian animation industry, founded by the cultural producer Lina Ghanem, this initiative organizes the “Palestine Animation Festival”, where we screen Palestinian and International animation films in front of the Palestinian audience. In addition to a number of specialized workshops, master classes, and the Animation market.
It is responsible for organizing the "Palestine Animation Festival", The first edition of the festival was organized in partnership with a multimedia and animation production company in Ramallah, it took place in Six cities and two towns in Palestine (Ramallah, Jerusalem, Hebron, Nablus, Jenin, Gaza, Beit Forik-a small town near Nablus, and Arraba town near Jenin), from 9-13th April 2017.
It was funded by the Palestinian Cultural fund- Ministry of Culture, and the Representative office of Germany in Ramallah.
Target groups: Palestinian Animators (senior and junior levels), filmmakers, screenwriters, artists, graphic designers, and professionals who work in the field of creative digital media, actors, comics artists, production companies, animation studios, academic institutions, and the Palestinian individuals especially children and youth who live and work in Palestine and the Exile.
