Annascaul Celebrating Singing is a curated weekend of music and song in the homeplace of Tom Crean and Jerome O’Connor. It is dedicated to sharing the community’s musical festivities with some terrific free musical workshops, film screenings and singing sessions at special venues around the village. Directed by Bert McCann, this weekend is a unique and inspiring opportunity to make new friends and to gain great insights into the Irish singing industry from accomplished professionals. In the past two years, we were honoured to host such a large gathering of brilliant singers, musicians and songwriters, including Laine Henderson (formerly of Riverdance), Niamh Varian-Barry (Solas), Muireann nic Amhlaoibh (Danú and Gradam Ceoil), children's entertainer Ruti Lachs, and many more terrific Irish musical creatives from all over the country. People can learn many new skills and techniques in a very relaxed, personal environment. This weekend is free of charge at every event. Supported by Kerry County Council Arts Office and kind local contributors of the peninsula, we promise a fantastic musical weekend every year for you and the entire family.
