Annie B's has been making caramels for 37 years. Our original and best-selling caramels are slow-cooked in copper pots, just as they have been since 1978. Handcrafted using natural ingredients including butter, brown sugar and condensed milk, these caramels make a great gift or everyday treat. Mellow and buttery with a perfect chewy texture, our caramels were named one of Oprah’s Favorite Things in 2014. Annie B’s original caramels are gluten-free and are handcrafted in small batches in our nut-free facility. We offer a variety of caramels and popcorns for everyday bites, or to give as gifts. A bit about us: Justin and Amanda Henke had spent months in their St. Paul kitchen, determined to make the perfect caramel. After countless pounds of butter and a few friendly squabbles, Justin happened upon Annie B's, a family-owned company of 35 years. He brought Annie B's sea salt caramels home and a very pregnant Amanda ate 12 of them in one sitting (yep, she did) because they were absolutely delicious. Well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em. Happily, Tom and Carol Bouquet - founders of Annie B's - were ready to retire and Justin and Amanda agreed to purchase Annie B's. This decision was finalized on the same day Amanda gave birth to their first child, a son named August. Big day. We have big plans for Annie B's, and would love to hear from you anytime!
