Anousha Pharmaceuticals (Tasnim Pharmaceutical) Company was founded in 2008 by Dr. Abbas Movahednia from private sector. Tasnim was founded by a group university professors from School of Medicine and Biological Sciences to address the urgent need of Iranian patients for high quality prescription and supplement products. Today, Tasnim is one of the fastest growing privately-owned life sciences companies in Iran. The company’s first product was launched 15 years ago and by 2015 the total revenue had surged to over $ 45 million. The three years CAGR from 2020-2022 is 35%. Moreover, the three years in-market growth of the company’s brands in urology, supplements and diabetes was 42%, 113% and 45% respectively.
From the beginning the company put its focus on high quality branded generics with innovative packaging tailored for regional markets’ needs and established itself as a young private company with premium product quality among healthcare societies.
The company product portfolio comprises 132 prescription and supplement brands. Tasnim has own sales forces and scientific representatives with nation-wide sales in 9,400 pharmacies in Iran.
Recently, Tasnim was re-structured and divided into 4 separate units: R&D with 27 staffs, Manufacturing with 478 employees, marketing unit with 355 dedicated staff and administrative office personnel.
