Antbear Lodge is situated in the Drakensberg Mountains near to Giants Castle. What makes us special is that we offer accommodation in a luxury cave. Glass doors open onto a wooden deck with hammock chairs and an uninterrupted view of the Drakensberg Mountains. We are selling a luxury eco experience. The cave is comfortable and cozy with features like a fireplace and Jacuzzi spa bath.
We also offer a private dining experience where we setup a table on the deck of the cave and you dine by candle light under the stars. Ideal for those anniversaries and gaining brownie points when you have forgotten your partner’s birthday. We are into that eco way of doing things. We have our own cows for milk, chickens for eggs and an organic vegetable garden. We bake our own bread, cook all our meals from scratch and even make our own cheese. We also offer horse trails that are ideally suited for beginners. I have a pilot’s licence and a microlight and a hot air balloon at the lodge and love to take guests with me flying over the mountains.
