We first began manufacturing anti-aging botanical extracts in 2018 for the serious DIY cosmetics formulators ant for cosmetic manufacturers. We feel the cosmetic industry is utilizing old outdated extraction technology and the industry is using medicinal not cosmeceutical extracts. There is a huge difference between the two. Medicinal is for healing with known properties. Cosmeceuticals must avoid denatured (killed) plant material. Cosmeceuticals, to achieve the maximum benefits will have retained the bioactive properties such as natural vitamins, oils, proteins, peptides, enzymes, and many other non-denatured properties. You won’t have these properties in tinctures or powdered extracts that have been denatured. Denatured (dead) extracts include any that use alcohol like tinctures and powdered extracts and heat over 106° Fahrenheit. Our goal is to provide highly active extracts that have retained all of their natural properties. We avoid alcohol and heat in our process. We use raw, organic plant material and water and glycerin as the solvents. Our focus is always to retain the bioactive compounds and to avoid denaturization using gentle heat or no heat during the extraction process. Our goal with each extract is to achieve full extraction of all the bioactive plant material. Our extraction method is quite unique from other extraction methods in that we utilize a multi-stage process: •Utilizing different temperatures to extract compounds that extract at different temperatures •Various strength because different materials extract at different concentrations •Pumping •Centrifuging •Pressure •Soaking •Filtering We do not use the common tincture extraction method that uses alcohol as the solvent because it denatures the bioactive properties required for anti-aging skin care products. We do not make powdered extracts because most powdered extracts have been denatured with either heat and/or alcohol during the extraction process.
