The Smart Tank Extreme, with its corrugated shell and the zincalume coating, the tank is very durable for inland and coastal conditions with a PVC liner. The steel panels of the tank are coated with a zinc layer on both sides. The corrugated steel sheet is continuously hot dipped in a formulation of Aluminum (55%), Zinc (43.5%) and Silicon (1.5%). The aluminum components of the coating provide a tough physical barrier between the extreme atmospheric conditions and the inner core steel.
The Fire Tank is manufacture from PosMAC material, it is a Magnesium, Zinc and Aluminum alloy coating that acts differently to iron when exposed to the elements. The Al, Mg and Zn elements create a protective barrier coating to the tank shell on the inside and outside. This process allows the steel to be used safely for protracted periods and includes: 3 x higher corrosion resistant properties, excellent anti-corrosive resistant flat surfaces and cut edges, high corrosive resistance against neutral salt & acid rain, high quality and lower replacement costs, extends the life of the tank up to 50 years.
The Rhino Tank is called the Fusion Bonded Epoxy system. This system is a dry electrostatically charged coating and fused for life to the tank sheets around 280ºC. Internal bolt holes and sheet edges are also coated to give extra protection. Tougher than glass it does not easily damage on site, chip, crack or flake when bolts are tightened. Compared to more traditional tank coatings, the epoxy coating ensures higher durability, lower manufacturing costs and a lower carbon footprint.
