Unis pour Samrong is a student initiative that came into being in 2019. Backed by the commitment of over 80 volunteers, mainly from architecture and engineering schools, our association's mission is to design and implement solidarity architecture projects. In partnership with the French-Cambodian NGO Codeaukhmer, we embody its educational pole and work to promote access to education for new generations of Cambodian students. At present, our main project is the construction of a school complex in the village of Toul Thnon. Over a two-year period (2024-2025), our aim is to set up a school with 5 classrooms, thus providing a conducive learning environment for local children. This initiative was prompted by representatives of the commune, district and province where the village is located, who expressed the urgent need for suitable educational facilities. This project follows on from our previous mission, when we built a school complex comprising 8 classrooms, a library and sanitary facilities, enabling us to accommodate 145 pupils in the village of Samrong. These successes are the fruit of the combined efforts of our members, our partners and the generosity of our supporters, who have made our commitment to education in Cambodia a reality.
