Arete is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to transforming the lives of young people from underserved communities across Nigeria through free, accessible, and practical tech education. We believe that where you’re born should not determine what you become. Through after-school programs, mentorship initiatives, coding bootcamps, and tech-focused events, we equip young people aged 10–20 with the digital skills and mindset needed to thrive in a technology-driven world. Our programs are designed to: - Introduce computer literacy and foundational tech knowledge to children early - Teach coding, web development, and emerging technologies like AI - Build confidence, creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration skills - Provide mentorship and exposure to career pathways in tech - Bridge the digital divide and reduce educational inequality We work closely with public schools, local governments, and community centres to embed our programs into environments where they’re needed most. We also collaborate with private sector partners, donors, and mentors to scale our reach and deepen our impact.
