Argus Ecology is a specialist ecological consultancy, founded in 1991. We provided impartial advice on a wide range of wildlife, nature conservation and land management issues until the retirement of one of our founding directors in 2022. Legacy projects and new work relating to our protected species and extractive industries work are now being handled by Claire Gilchrist at Fells Ecology, former Principal Ecologist at Argus. Appropriate Assessment work and ecological interpretations of air quality are being handled by former Director Kevin Barry Honour in a freelance capacity.
