Ari Orthopaedics Conferences

Ari Orthopaedics Conferences company information, Employees & Contact Information

ARI Orthopaedics In 1999, eCM conferences started to be held in Davos organised by Geoff Richards of the AO Research Institute Davos. The Conferences were originally on the Biomaterials field. This led to the idea of creataing an online journal from the great presentations given from keynotes, and was the original concept of free science publication (together with Iolo ap Gwynn and the late Godfried Roomans). This led to the initiiation of the European Cells and Materials Journal (later known as eCM journal). It was one of the first open access scientific journals in the world and initiated the transparent review process (now known as open peer review). eCM was published by AO Research Institute Davos, a Not-for-Profit foundation in Switzerland until July 2023. Geoff Richards organised the eCM conferences until 2016 and these were taken over by Martin Stoddart afterwards, though he had helped with many previous ones. The conferences were rebranded in July 2023 as ARIOrthopaedics. Our Logo is based on several aspects. The animal within the logo (Steinbock, (German) Macun (Romansch), Stambecco (italian), Capricorn or Ibex, (English)) is from within the Graubünden (Grison) flag, form our canton where AO Research Institute Davos is based. The "rock" below it is based upon integrated bone trabeculae within a biomaterial.
