The Aromatic Research Quality Appraisal Taskforce, https://arqattreats.wixsite.com/my-site, was formed in January 2021 with a core group of committed leaders who are aromatherapists, researchers, educators, business owners, and entrepreneurs. The mission, vision, and goals are as follows:
MISSION: To create, vet, and promote a tool for research critique that clearly outlines the highest standard in nonpharmacologic aromatherapy research practice and reporting.
VISION: We see a cohesive aromatherapy research community that is able to create and present research that all stakeholders, including policy makers, clinicians, and consumers, can trust.
GOALS: To create the document, to present it to experts in the field of aromatherapy and odorant research, to receive feedback, and share with the larger audience internationally via poster presentations and publication in peer reviewed journal. Further, aromatherapy research reporting improves and is consistent and reliable, thereby facilitating use of aromatherapy in nonpharmacologic health and care modalities. Journals and aromatherapy organizations will implement this tool as the standard for critique of research submissions and reporting.
We meet online and proceed with velocity in the creation of this tool which will be sent to several types of experts within the field of aromatherapy and essential oil research.
At this time, the core project team is set, however opportunity for expert input is open. We invite your enquires.
