Art Matter

Art Matter lives and breathes to show the art that makes us see the world with new eyes. The art that makes us think of new creative solutions, that makes us form new communities and that changes everything around us just a little bit. Meet the art scene! We have existed for over 15 years as kunsten.nu and Art Week, but have now merged the two under the common name Art Matter. By merging two distinctive projects, we want to create a more powerful meeting place where art lovers can effectively find a lot of different forms of communication. On Art Matter Journal you can find an archive of more than 20,000 articles on contemporary art, produced over almost two decades. In the future, the articles will be supplemented by shorter formats on video, more images, and some of the longer articles can be heard as audio when you're on the go or just want to do something other than read. When it comes to discovering art around the country, the Art Matter Guide is the place to start. Here you can find all the latest exhibitions and events on the art scene across the country, from large venues like SMK and Louisiana to small galleries and artist-run spaces. You can easily search by location, time and topic to find something that suits your needs. Every year we also host Art Matter Festival, which is Denmark's largest festival for contemporary art, with over 150 events including Art Tours, talks, openings and parties. Virtually the entire Danish art scene participates, from large venues like SMK and Louisiana to smaller galleries and artist-run exhibition spaces.
