ArtsPond is a caregiver and changemaker of a different sort. Our mandate is to nurture healthy ecosystems of care that bolster multidimensional therapies and remedies to the systemic precarity of equity-seeking groups in arts and culture, including social, spatial, economic, ecological, digital, and accessibility justice. Our vision is to embody a world where arts workers from the margins are valued and supported for their ingenuity as “positive deviants” that both challenge and bind communities together. Four seeds guide us on this path: • CREATE, with artists (centering values of artistic wisdom that foster social cohesion and well-being for the public good) • ENGAGE, with the public (amplifying attitudes that nurture the vitality of thriving cultural economies) • SHARE, with changemakers (deepening beliefs in cooperative systems that bolster access for equity-seeking groups) • CARE for the system/planet (realizing behaviours that sustain healthy ecosystems in human, digital, and natural life).
