Welcome to the Advanced Structural Engineering Laboratory at BITS Pilani, Hyderabad Campus! Our lab is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to advancing the frontiers of structural engineering through cutting-edge experimentation and innovation.
The lab is equipped with advanced testing equipment, including a 2000 kN vertical reaction-loading frame, a 250 kN dynamic actuator system, a Base Isolation testing facility, a 2m × 3m shake table with a capacity of 120 kN, and a 250 kN Quasi-static testing facility. These facilities enable in-depth research on the static and dynamic behavior of structures, seismic resilience, and innovative design solutions for infrastructure.
Our mission is to contribute to the development of disaster-resilient and sustainable infrastructure by combining world-class facilities with interdisciplinary expertise.
