ASE International Relations Overview

Bucharest University of Economic Studies (ASE), founded in 1913, is one of Romania's largest universities and the only one that focuses only on Economics and Business. After 110 years of higher education activities, our present vision is to be recognized as a leader in higher education and research across Central and South-Eastern Europe. The University promotes an international environment within our 23.000+ students (3,5% foreign students) and 900+ academic staff (10% foreign academic staff). The University's international cooperation is strengthened by the support of the 250 partners in approximately 40 countries around the world, the opportunities provided by the more than 500 different agreements and internship opportunities in the corporate business environment, and the networking activities developed within the 27 academic networks that make our University an active member of the international community. ASE is a competitive university at regional and global level, as Times Higher Education World University Rankings offered us 1st position as best university from Romania 4 years in a row (2020-2023), #501-600 in overall world ranking (2023) and the highest-ranking Romanian university in the following fields: 401-500 in Social Sciences and 601+ in Business & Economics (2022). In the same time, an important step in the international recognition process is the acceptance of eligibility application for the AACSB accreditation early in 2022.
