Welcome to the official student chapter of the American Society for Gravitational and Space Research (ASGSR)! We are a multidisciplinary group of science and engineering students from across the United States and around the world who are interested in microgravity research and space-related sciences.
Our members include undergraduate and graduate students, K–12 participants, and recent graduates. Some of us are actively engaged in spaceflight experiments, while others are just beginning to explore the field. Together, we participate in educational outreach, research communication, and professional development through the framework of our parent organization.
We organize student-led sessions at the annual ASGSR conference, which brings together leading experts in gravitational biology, radiation, aerospace engineering, and space physical sciences. Throughout the year, we also host webinars with researchers, coordinate workshops, and share career and research opportunities with students. We help plan events like student poster sessions, technical symposia, policy trips to Washington, D.C., and more.
ASGSR, founded in 1984, is a nonprofit scientific society partnered with NASA’s Biological and Physical Sciences Division. Its members represent academia, government, and industry, and the society supports research on how living systems and physical processes respond to gravity on Earth and in space.
