Ashburnham Insurance Services Limited was formally known as Robert A Rushtons who were a nationwide high street insurance broker. Rushtons themselves began trading in 1947 with a branch later opening at 76 London Road, Southend-on-Sea, Essex. The management of this Southend office then took over in 1995 when Ashburnham Insurance Services Limited was formed. The new name was decided on due to the office location being on the corner of Ashburnham Road.
Following the take over, business ideas moved forward from the high street broker approach and the inclusion of commercial products to our portfolio along with internet advertising helped achieve considerable business growth and in 2001 the business was forced to move to a larger premises albeit only a few yards down the road at 80 London Road, Southend-on-Sea, Essex.
The management at Ashburnham still remain the same to date along with many of our staff and customers who have stayed with us through the change from Rushtons to Ashburnham. Their loyalty together with the ever increasing client base that Ashburnham has shows the high levels of service and competitive rates that we offer.
