aspireCP is a uniquely client focused advisory practice, with specialist skills in strategic land assembly, compulsory purchase and associated land value capture mechanisms. We work with public authorities, major infrastructure providers and developers to manage the compulsory purchase process from project inception to completion, identifying the risks and opportunities and putting this together with the experience and systems to deliver land on-time and within budget. We offer our own market-leading AFiRMS (Acquisition Finance & Risk Management System) product to manage every aspect of compulsory purchase finances.
Most other compulsory purchase advisers focus on assessment of CPO compensation and negotiation of claims. Whilst aspireCP also has this transactional capability, what makes us unique is that our team spent many years on the client-side and between them have delivered some of the largest CPO programmes ever undertaken in the UK including the Jubilee Line Extension, the 2012 Olympics and Crossrail and in each of these all land required was delivered on time and within 1% of budget.
Our focus is on delivering practical solutions to clients’ problems. We have encountered the myriad of challenges most major projects face, worked through the pitfalls and created workable solutions: we therefore like to think we know what works and what doesn’t. We aim to upskill and sit alongside the client, quickly enabling them to operate as an ‘informed client’ in managing compulsory acquisition of land, even if this is something they have never done before. We ensure the client can put in place the right brief when procuring other suppliers and help them manage and get the most out of their supply chain, working in partnership rather than seeking to replace or out-source client capacity.
