Who Are We?
Athena's Sisters is the only grassroots non-profit in Kentucky run by and for military and veteran women for physical and mental health care access, education, and advocacy. Healing should not be a privilege--it is every military woman's right!
What Do We Do?
We have built a safe and supportive community by creating a sisterhood using art and sharing resources for ourselves and our families.
How Do We Do It?
1. Sisterhood! We are not invisible! We have a closed meeting, meaning only for military women, the 4th Monday of the month from 6-8pm where we make art, share stories, and know that we are not alone.
2. Education! Access! Advocacy! Healing looks different for every woman; military women have diverse needs. We have an open meeting, meaning community partners and supporters are invited, the 2nd Monday of the month from 6-8pm where we invite guest speakers to share the resources they have to share with military women.
